I booked Iza to do a meal for my friends 40th. Iza certainly did not disappoint. We had a truly memorable 5 course meal not one person had a grumble about any of it. Iza was very friendly and even ‘put up’ with my 8 year old niece helping in the kitchen. I would have no hesitation in using Iza again or recommending her services in the future. Thanks. Incidentally the risotto and chocolate sauce were just as good on the Sunday!
Sharon I.Iza arrived at our house bearing all the skills and ingredients for a wonderful French meal. Before the first bottle of wine was finished, we were presented with parcels of reblochon, followed by lamb tagine, and, well… several bottles of wine later, finished off with poached pears in red wine with crème anglaise. A fantastic evening was had by all, including Iza, who we invited to stay for the rest of the evening. I would have no hesitation in recommending her as your chef for the evening.

We watched, listened and helped while she made some delicious asparagus souffles, a vegetable risotto and a chocolate pudding to die for, eating each course when it was ready. Iza’s delightful personality and her accomplished cooking skills, coupled with a glass or two of wine, made for a most enjoyable three hours.

We spent 3 happy hours there watching Iza prepare a delicious three course meal for us while reviving our dormant French. It was soooo relaxing. Alison WI received the cooking lesson as a birthday present and what a good gift it was. I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson, Iza was a great teacher, very interesting and most of all you could tell she was passionate about food! I arranged with Iza beforehand to cook fish and that we did. The 3 course meal started off with salmon tartare with guacamole and pomegranate, mackerel with sauerkraut and then pear and chocolate tart, the food was delicious. The recipes were easy to follow and so tasty. I would recommend Iza to everyone and anyone.

Rosa J.What a great day. My sister and I bought this for our mum’s birthday. We all participated and learnt a great deal. We made a delicious raspberry creme patiserrie, a fantastic stuffed squid/ risotto dish, learnt some useful pastry techniques and also made a duck balsamic/ miel dish. Iza was friendly and tailored the session to our tastes. After the cooking we all ate our creations together. Would highly recommend Iza to anyone looking to learn new techniques or as a novel gift. It was fun, informative and learning form a trained chef really helps hone your skills – moreover, Iza has none of the snobbishness you can get from chefs and so you feel at ease taking about your lifestyle and what cooking skills and food buying tips would be the most useful. I would recommend the following: – Spend time beforehand discussing what you want to cook with Iza and what skills you want to learn. I did this via e-mail. – Take a notebook – there are loads of tips that you will inevitable forget, so I wrote them down. – Take a bottle of wine with you – the Sancerre made the occasion more special. That’s it I really enjoyed the session and would really recommend it.

The additional bonus was that it tempted my taste buds and stimulated my appetite when it was greatly needed.
Irene CleghornIza provided our delegates with beautifully presented and tasty food made from fresh locally sourced and organic ingredients. Her salads in particular were varied and interesting. Many of our clients commented on how good the food was and what a difference it made to the overall quality of their events. Iza was able to work flexibly to different budgets and being knowledgeable about nutrition meant she was excellent at catering for people with differing dietary requirements. I would recommend Iza to anyone wanting to add something extra for any event.
